Dr. Anis Bouraba


Dr. Anis Bouraba is a veterinarian and regional leader currently serving as the Councillor for the Middle East and North Africa at the World Veterinary Association. He is also Vice President in charge of International Relations at the Algerian Veterinary Space Foundation.

Originally from Bordj Bou Arreridj, Algeria, Dr. Bouraba graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and earned a Master of Veterinary Sciences from the University of Frères Mentouri in Constantine. After working as a practicing veterinarian in Tipaza, he relocated to the United States, where he now resides in Fairfax, Virginia, and works at Fairfax Ridge Animal Hospital, while pursuing a Master of Business Administration at the University of North America in the Greater Washington area, with a strong interest in how technology and innovation can shape the future of veterinary medicine.

Deeply committed to the One Health paradigm, Dr. Bouraba actively advances cooperation across the human, animal, and environmental health sectors to enhance disease prevention and strengthen global health resilience. Through his leadership within the AVSF and his representation at the World Veterinary Association, he serves as a scientific diplomat, building bridges between Algeria, the MENA region, and the international community. His work contributes to positioning Algerian veterinary medicine as a key player in regional and global One Health initiatives.
